CONTENT THIS YEAR
We rotate each year between two courses, the Dynamics of Living the Spiritual Exercises and Practices and Guidelines for Living the Spiritual Exercises. Beginning in September 2025 we will be exploring the Dynamics of Living the Spiritual Exercises. The Dynamics of Living the Spiritual Exercises course helps participants gain insight into the transformative process embedded in the text of the Exercises. The course provides insight into Ignatius’ own journey in which the Exercises are based and helps participants assimilate their personal experience of the Exercises.
We explore the dynamics contained in the structure, language and intention of the Spiritual Exercises that draw a person to a deeper relationship with Christ and the Trinity. The text of the Spiritual Exercises began with St. Ignatius’ experience and givers of the Spiritual Exercises utilize adaptations of this text to help others experience what St. Ignatius found to be helpful to grow in relationship with God. We explore the text to learn and understand the dynamics in the Exercises themselves and the dynamics of persons growing in holiness.
