Readings and Conversations in Ignatian Spirituality

Ignatian Spirituality Readings is offered as a follow-up for those who have either completed or are curious about the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday LIfe (SEEL) with the Ignatian Spirituality Center of Kansas City and as an introduction to those who are curious about the Spiritual Exercises and want to know more about Ignatian Spirituality.

The purpose is to provide insight and knowledge about the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, who wrote the Spiritual Exercises. 

Participants in this program will meet via Zoom monthly on Tuesday evenings beginning at 7:00 pm on the following dates:  September 24, October 22, November 19, December 10, January 14, February 18, March 18, and April 15. 

At each monthly session, assigned readings on Ignatian Spirituality will form the focus of the conversation, discussion and sharing.  Themes include the Life of St. Ignatius, Finding God in All Things, Prayer, the Spiritual Exercises, and Discernment.

The maximum number of participants will be ten and attendance at all eight sessions is expected.

  • Lessons from Ignatius Loyola - by David L. Fleming S.J.

  • Finding God in All Things - by William A. Barry S.J.

  • A Pilgrim’s Journey: The Autobiography of Ignatius of Loyola - Joseph N. Tylenda, S.J
