Discerning the Will of God
Every Christian has a mission. What is yours? the Ignatian Spirituality Center of Kansas Ctiy is proud to present a weekend of programs April 2 and 3, 2011 with noted author and spiritual guide Fr. Timothy Gallagher. The weekend is for everyone ready to make the shift from "What do I want for my life?" to "What does God want for my life?"
This year's format will feature a two-day workshops for those familiar with the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola and Fr. Gallagher's work on discernment, as well as a public lecture on Sunday night open to the public. More information on the weekend will be made available this spring.
Father Timothy M. Gallagher, O.M.V., was ordained in 1979 as a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, a religious community dedicated to retreats and spiritual formation according to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. He obtained his doctorate in 1983 from the Gregorian University. He has taught (St. John's Seminary, Brighton, MA; Our Lady of Grace Seminary Residence, Boston, MA), assisted in formation work for twelve years, and served two terms as provincial in his own community. He has dedicated many years to an extensive ministry of retreats, spiritual direction, and teaching about the spiritual life. Fr. Gallagher is the author of six books (Crossroad) on the spiritual teaching of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
